DEA Registration
A registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration that authorizes a provider to prescribe or dispense controlled substances.
DEA registration is state-specific and time-limited, so credentialing files must track its expiration. A lapsed or mismatched DEA registration is a frequent cause of credentialing and enrollment delays.
