Reappointment is the facility's recurring process of re-evaluating a provider who already holds clinical privileges, typically conducted around every two years. It confirms that licenses, competence, and other qualifications remain current before privileges continue. Closely related to re-credentialing, reappointment is usually coordinated by the medical staff office and ties directly to a provider's privileging.
