CVO
Credentials Verification Organization — an entity that performs primary source verification on behalf of health plans, hospitals, and groups.
A CVO centralizes verification so multiple organizations can rely on one verified file. Many CVOs are NCQA-certified, and plans often delegate credentialing verification to them under a formal delegation agreement.
