Delegated Credentialing
An arrangement in which a health plan delegates its credentialing verification to another qualified entity, such as a group or CVO, under a formal agreement.
Under delegation, the delegate performs credentialing to the plan's standards and the plan retains oversight, typically through pre-delegation audits and ongoing file reviews. Delegation can dramatically shorten enrollment timelines.
