Primary Source Verification
The process of validating a provider's credential directly with the original issuing source, the foundation of defensible credentialing.
Primary source verification covers licensure, education, training, board certification, and sanction history. Because each source has its own process and turnaround, PSV is typically the slowest part of credentialing.
