Provisional Credentialing

Provisional credentialing lets a provider begin limited or time-bound participation before the full credentialing review is finished, often to meet an urgent staffing need. It usually rests on a preliminary check of key items and may carry conditions until the complete file is verified. Because it is temporary, the file still proceeds through standard review by the credentialing committee before any lasting decision is made.
